About the Artist
Etienne Pottier

French, b. 1983
French Etienne Pottier (b. 1983) was educated at ENSAD (École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs) in 2009, which is internationally recognized for, among other things, photography, fashion and various forms of design. Pottier is inspired by classic subjects such as sex, beauty, nature and violence, and from this he creates, among other things, beautiful and macabre sculptures, where he treats subjects abandoned by poetry and everyday themes in an almost spiritual way. In Etienne's works we often see animals fighting for survival, snakes hiding among plants and flowers, dogs with open mouths and large teeth, and masks covered with spikes, horns and leaves.
