Christine Nguyen

Christine Nguyen currently resides in Long Beach, California. She received her B.F.A from California State University, Long Beach and M.F.A from University of California, Irvine. Solo exhibitions of her work have been featured at the Hammer Museum (Project), Michael Kohn Gallery, Andrewshire Gallery in Los Angeles, Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, St. Augustine, FL, 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, Hong Kong and Galerie Quynh, Vietnam . Her work has also been included in group exhibitions at the Kunsthalle zu Kiel, Kiel, Germany; Laguna Beach Art Museum, Laguna Beach;Pasadena Museum of California Art, Pasadena; San Art, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Sprueth Magers Projekte, Munich, Germany; Dancing Elephants Project, Bogota, Columbia and Churner and Churner, New York. Nguyen has participated in the Wildfjords Artist Residency program in Iceland, the Bureau of Land Management Interior Alaska AIR program, and is currently the Theodore Payne Foundation AIR for 2016. She has also been awarded the 2015-2016 (C.O.L.A) City of Los Angeles Artist Fellowship award and the 2015-2016 Arts Council for Long Beach Professional Artist Fellowship award. Her public art works can be seen at the Metro Silver Line Manchester Station in Los Angeles, Malibu Library in Malibu, Fire Station 132 in Santa Clarita, California, and at the L’hotel elan in Hong Kong.
