Puerto Rican, b. 1985
Viccel is an emergent, self taught, Puerto Rican artist. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (La Poly). For the past 16 years, his full time career has been as a Mechanical Engineer. Since childhood, Puerto Rico has always been a place of inspiration. Today, the island’s rich past as well as the island’s robust contemporary art culture serves as a constant, daily motivation for Viccel. His art reflects his vibrant Puerto Rican culture at the same time as it anticipates innovations in the contemporary art world.
