Julia Klimova

Utilizing vibrant oil to create texturally rich portraits, landscapes and still-lifes, Ms. Klimova feels each of her paintings is a culmination of everything she has seen and felt. When asked how long a painting takes to create, she contemplates, “How long? My entire life.” A childhood spent in southern Russia, surrounded by light and warmth, continues to influence Klimova and the emotional message of her canvasses. After studying Fine Arts in Russia and working as an interior designer, Julia moved to North America almost fifteen years ago and art became her full time career. Seen in publications such as Fine Art Connoisseur and American Art Collector, her pieces are avidly collected throughout Europe, the U.S. and Canada. She currently resides in Toronto.
